SOIL
SOIL aims to explore the topic of “soil” artistically in order to shed light on the effects of human activity on biodiversity and the complex interplay of soil organisms in various ways. The collaboration with soil expert Susanne Kapelari and other specialists enriches the artistic process with sound scientific knowledge that flows directly into the composition.
Soil and earth form the foundation for all life on our planet. Without
healthy soil, ecosystems as we know them cannot exist.
However, this healthy soil is increasingly threatened by intensive agricultural use,
the excessive use of pesticides, and the sealing of large areas
– especially in urban areas, which are thus becoming heat islands.
the minciospace_ working group, an ensemble of composing
musicians has formed under the project title SOIL to address the multifaceted and
complex topic of “soil.” In close collaboration with scientific
support, musicians from the working group ensemble delve into the
topic layer by layer.
